Product Page Information That Helps Shoppers Decide

A practical checklist for clear titles, descriptions, images, variations, delivery details and product claims.

A product page should answer the questions a customer needs before deciding. Strong photography helps, but shoppers also need accurate specifications, available options, delivery expectations and a clear way to buy.

Make the key details easy to find

  • Use a descriptive product title and concise summary.
  • Explain material, dimensions, compatibility or other relevant facts.
  • Show available sizes, colors or configurations clearly.
  • Use images that represent the actual item and variation.
  • State delivery and return information in language customers can understand.

Use consistent image crops and compress files for the web. Add alternative text when an image communicates information rather than decoration.

Keep claims accurate

Avoid unsupported claims about performance, health, origin or guarantees. If a product needs safety information or regulated wording, obtain approved copy from the business or qualified adviser. Keep SKU and inventory details consistent across the store.

Review the page on mobile and test the variation selector, stock state, add-to-cart action and any related product suggestions. Clear product information can reduce confusion, but cannot guarantee conversion. Use customer questions and support requests to find missing details, then update the page with accurate answers.
