Independent WordPress work, handled directly
I’m Code Papa, an independent WordPress developer based in the United Arab Emirates. I work remotely with businesses in the United States and United Kingdom, helping them build, improve and maintain WordPress websites and online stores. I bring around 15 years of experience across WordPress development, WooCommerce, troubleshooting, site performance, hosting moves, installations, platform migrations and product catalogue work.
That experience has taught me that a website project is not only code. It is also listening carefully, agreeing what success means, explaining trade-offs and making sure the site owner understands what happens next. My aim is to give each client a direct working relationship with the person doing the development. You can ask questions, see the work as it progresses and request a video call at any point before handover.
How I approach a project
Every project begins with a practical conversation about your business, visitors, current website and priorities. I ask what needs to be built or repaired, what content and access are available, what must keep working, and when you need the work. Then I write down the scope, estimated timing, deliverables and assumptions. If an idea depends on a paid plugin, a hosting provider or a third-party platform, I identify that dependency before it becomes a surprise.
During the work, I keep decisions visible and explain when a request changes the agreed scope. I test the pieces included in the project and provide a clear handover. For a new website, that can mean showing you how to edit pages. For a migration, it means explaining what moved and where. For a repair, it means summarizing what was diagnosed and changed. Ongoing support can be discussed separately when you need it.
Experience and qualifications
My professional experience is built around approximately 15 years of hands-on work with WordPress and related website services. I do not list a formal degree or certification here because I have not provided those details for publication. If a project requires a particular credential, vendor certification or regulated qualification, ask me before booking and I will confirm whether it is relevant and available. I prefer to describe experience accurately rather than imply credentials that a client has not verified.
The work spans custom WordPress websites, WooCommerce store setup, bug diagnosis, speed improvements, hosting transfers, fresh installations, HTML-to-WordPress conversions, Shopify and WooCommerce migrations, and bulk product imports. The exact technology and deliverables vary by project; each service page explains what can be included and what I need from you.
Based in the UAE, working internationally
I’m based in the UAE and work with clients remotely. Projects for US and UK businesses are managed through agreed milestones, written feedback and meeting times that work across time zones. Before work starts, you receive a quote in an agreed currency and a payment schedule: 50% upfront to book and begin, then 50% after you have reviewed the completed work and confirmed satisfaction, before final handover. Video calls are available by arrangement at any point before handover.
If you value direct communication, a clearly scoped project and a developer who stays involved from the first conversation to the final review, tell me what you are planning. I’ll ask a few useful questions and recommend a sensible next step.
